Finished my last final today. I am VERY happy about that. I've been so stress from school lately. Next semester better be easier. I'm only taking four classes. Well, I'm looking forward to sitting around for a month.
I've been listening to The Wonder Year's christmas song all morning. It's great. I love reading their blogs. Who knew musicians had real lives?
The Scene Aesthetic has posted a million bulletins about Eric coming home from his dumb missionary thing. What if he came back and was just like "Dude, I don't want to sing anymore." THAT would be funny. Shitty, but funny.
So last night was such a big failure, it's unbelievable. Apparently Padraic and Drew planned on going clubbing with these girls they knew, and I was going to tag along because what the hell would I have done otherwise? Well the girls bailed or something, but we were still excited to go to the club. We got dressed (I had to borrow a shirt from Padraic because clubs apparently aren't too keen on Band Tees and solid colored t-shirts), and started drinking the handle of Smirnoff we bought. We talked about bands and youtubed videos for about two hours. Finally we were ready to leave and our friend Jared said he would drive us because he was sober and what not. We ran to Padraic's car and went to a club called Barcode, using the directions I printed out. We got to Barcode and ran to the line because it was raining. We were there for about 20 seconds before security told us they were only allowing dress shoes that night. We ran back to Padraics car and started heading to our backup club, in case Barcode didn't work out. We took forever to find the club because the website didn't really give us an address, just the intersection, and we forgot what the club was called due to the vodka we consumed. We finally found the club and ran around the building to the entrance. We start pulling out our IDs, when Padraic asked the security guy if it was 18+ that night. Of course it wasn't. We call Jared to come back and jump into the car. We head back to our dorm and decide we'll look up another club and head back out. We find a club called The Rage that sounds great. We get the address, and run to the car again. When we reach the street, we start looking around everywhere. We notice that where The Rage was said to be, Barcode was also. After looking for an hour, we finally admit our defeat, grab some food, and head back home. Sure enough, The Rage was renamed Barcode and the website we went to had us looking for a non-existent nightclub. I spent the rest of the night "studying" for my final I had this morning.
I can not wait to get home. It's crazy how excited I am.
I'm even more excited now to record because I'm going to be recording and writing with my friend Brittany, who I haven't seen in a really long time. That should be really fun. I've already started making a list of recording equipment I have to buy to make recording a bit easier. Buying those and christmas presents are going to definitely eat away at my bank account. Yay for the season!
